My newest arrival - this positively gorgeous Love Melody! I am absolutely stoked about this girl. She was a part of a pony lot that someone from my local antique
store had offered me. The lady wanted waaaay too much for the lot ($80 >A<) so I ended up just taking this gal. She was $7, which considering her condition, was
a fantastic price. She has 'fading pink' hair and symbols, which means she's extremely prone to fading to white when exposed to any amount of UV. This gal is almost
mint, with near flawless symbols and bright pink hair. Needless to say she's been quickly stored away in a dark corner so she won't be at risk of fading haha <3
I've already had a couple people tell me she's one of if not the nicest Love Melody they've seen!
And as for the announcement - the final Mexican Prince Pony, Prince Ruby/Principito Rubi, is on his way here from Mexico! Some lovely people on one of my pony Discord
servers had been watching for one for me and he popped up on eBay in super nice condition <3 I had to get up at 5 AM to bid and got into a bit of a bidding war with
someone's max bid, but I was able to snag him for $17 ($34-ish with shipping I believe). Last I heard via tracking he was stuck in customs, so here's hoping he makes it
safely through <3 Ruby will complete the trio of Mexican Prince Ponies, and it will be my first complete G1 set!

My 22nd birthday was on the 26th of September, and my family took me thrifting in the city as a gift! I went to only two places and this is what I found...

Cuddles, purchased from eBay! She was a cheap Buy It Now because she had a bunch of paint marks on her. But with a little TLC and the aid of a Magic Eraser, all the marks came out and she's lovely! <3
And last but not least...Mexican Prince Emerald/Principito Esmeralda! I bought him from the same seller that I got Sapphire from some months back. I couldn't help but want to bring him home too.
He's actually in pretty great shape for a Mexican Nirvana, as they're fairly difficult to find in good condition. He has some scratched-up eye paint on one side so a person from a pony Discord I joined
suggested I make an eyepatch for him, and I did! I almost have a complete set of Mexican Prince ponies; I only need Ruby and I'll have all three.

Recent Exciting Additions

Hello again! I went on a pretty long semi-hiatus due to school and work <3 But I'm back, and I've brought with me some super cool new additions to my pony collection!
Firstly, earlier this year I got G2 Prince Firefly for the very reasonable price of $5 on eBay from a seller in France <3 He is in absolutely lovely condition. I've loved this boy for a long time, it's so nice to finally have him!
Back at the beginning of July, I also purchased my very first Nirvana pony! For those of you who aren't in/are new to the collecting community, Nirvana ponies are basically the result of G1 ponies being made differently in other countries. They often have crazy colors and designs that are completely unlike the original production versions, but sometimes the only thing different about them is the materials and painting style used.
My first Nirvana is Barnaba, aka Italian Tickle! <3 Isn't she lovely?
Also in July, I managed to snap up a Mountain Boy Sunburst for $45! These ponies usually go for well over $100 each no matter their condition, and aside from a few stains, this boy is lovely! He's my first Mountain Boy ever <3
And saving the best for last...just a couple weeks ago I got the opportunity to purchase one of my absolute grail ponies. Another Nirvana, and a very special one at that; you rarely see these boys for sale! This is 'Principito Zafiro', aka Prince Sapphire, the Mexican Prince pony <3

This Week's Pony Finds: Amazing Stuff!

I pulled a muscle last week so I had to forgo my usual Tuesday antique store visit, but this week I resumed the pony hunt and I feel like I just hit the jackpot today. Just look at all these ponies!
Baby Sea Shimmer! She's in great condition, just a few rubs on her tail but otherwise absolutely lovely.
Baby Whirly-Twirl! I haven't found a G1 boy pony in the wild since I was 7-8 years old, so when I saw feathered hooves in a bag I was so excited I was shaking haha. He's in pretty good condition, although his symbols are sadly rubbed up. I think he might have some tail rust too but his head attachment is kinda scary to think about taking apart so I'll have to work up my courage to mess with it later, if I can.
Brush 'n Grow Curly Locks! She's the very first Brush 'n Grow in my collection, and oh my goodness is she lovely. Her hair is silky smooth and still has some of that lovely pink to it (you can't see it very well in the photos, sadly), and as far as I can tell, neither her mane or tail are cut. Her symbols are perfect with no scratches or rubs at all! She's a little discolored, I think, and she has a couple unnoticeable age marks behind one of her wings, and a bit of ingrained dirt that I'm sure I could probably get out if I tried harder.
Perfume Puff Daisy Sweet! This poor gal has seen better days, but I don't care because I've always hoped to find a Perfume Puff pony in the wild and here she is! She's got some pretty bad discoloration, faded hair and a few marks.
Lastly, I got Seawinkle (please excuse her beheaded-ness, I'm currently letting her dry)! I've always wanted to find a sea pony in the wild, ever since I was little. Today that dream came true! Now this was a pony badly in need of a good scrubbing. Her hair was badly discolored by the rust from her weights. Her neck plug was actually all torn up from part of the weight that had gotten stuck inside her head, and the weights themselves...yuck. The inside of both her head and body were completely covered in rust, but with a toothbrush, some soap-y warm water and a lot of patience, I managed to get her cleaned up pretty good! It looks like a cat might have gnawed on her a bit but that's okay <3 Below are some pics from before I cleaned her up.
I also got my first Totsy fakie, and a Little Pretty Puppy Melody! The Totsy has some issues but the Little Pretty is lovely with just a few marks I think I can get out.

This Week's Pony Find: Pony Bride

I really enjoy going out to my local antique store to look for ponies, and I almost always find something! Last week I found a Firefly tray puzzle, and the week before that I found some near-mint G1 Newborns. So, I decided to start posting journals with my pony-related finds for the week!

Today was my weekly trip to the local antique store, and I picked up a G1 Pony Bride! She was so filthy oh my goodness, the poor dear. Here's some pics of when I first got her into the car and started cleaning her up with a Wet One.
But she cleaned up pretty nice once I got her home and had all my pony-cleaning tools at my disposal! (Sorry for the lighting, it's stormy out today so I have practically no natural light oops).
Unfortunately the people who priced her decided to use a handwritten tag and the pen ink seeped through, as you can see. I've tried to get it out but nothing topical seems to work so I'll probably try sun-fading it. Otherwise she's in pretty good condition, no chew-marks or anything. I do already have a Pony Bride but she has highlighter marks all over her non-display side so I'll probably keep this one too <3 Plus, I just couldn't leave her behind! Pony Bride is one of my personal faves.
